June First Meeting and Program
The next meeting of the Golden Isles Sailing Club will be on Saturday June 1st at the clubhouse of Brunswick Landing Marina from 5:30 until 7 PM. Our speaker is our own Daren Pietsch, head of Torras Properties. He will talk on the history of the SSI causeway (this year is the hundredth anniversary of its’ opening). He will also give us an update on other Torras properties such as that adjacent to the marina. Members are asked to bring a light hor d’oeuvre to share. Beer, wine, and soft drinks will be provided. There are several restaurants in downtown Brunswick that can be enjoyed afterwards. Please sign up at the event tab on the GISC website so we’ll have an idea of the number of participants. There is a race earlier in the day, so it’s a great opportunity to get your boat on the water and then enjoy a great evening.
